Art is a form of self expression and requires a soul, imagination, emotions; all things that AI lacks and will forever lack. When a person creates art, they create it because they have a vision that they want to make into a reality, and are willing to put the time and effort into creating that vision. These AI bros can argue that it's a detriment to spend the time to gain the skills that an artist would, but without that time, effort, dedication, passion and emotions behind it, what you end up with is soulless slop, which is why AI "art" is likely to die out within, ahhh, I'll give it 10 years at most.
And let's not forget that the definition for art is "the expression or application of *human* creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power." The AI generated images are, by definition, not art.
