@Racing_Pig They also only operate in certain areas of certain cities. Tesla pretends that their demonstrably inferior (to Waymo) effort at automatic control can be generalized to all roads in all cities.
And on top of all that, Waymo vehicles aren't perfect, so even with all the extra sensors, extremely high-detail maps, and much better approach to the problem, they still have work to do. Assuming the problem can even be solved.
