why consider AI immediately when you can do art yourself in the first place? no money to hire an artist, be one. nobody is too poor to be an artist. it's hard and it will take time but not impossible. one is not too unimaginative to be artistic. you wouldn't even need to attend classes because there are thousands of artists online tutorials that can help you and they're all free. AI is a tool but so are you, you can be creative and artistic.
as for your question. if the AI you use is not trained from other artists' work, sure go ahead. to your second point for considering using AI, just because you can't pay an artist doesn't mean that when you use AI no artist will loose their job. like I said, it depends on how the AI you use is trained and whether it uses others' work or not.
