Big corporations like Disney will throw tens of millions at buying politicians and courts to put up an artificial barrier to anyone working with AI. With AI, the individual or small team with a few thousand dollars can create compelling works that threaten Disney's revenue. If Disney can keep you from making money with your own projects, they lock you into work-for-hire jobs with a corporation that has tens of millions to spend on making an animated series or a hundred million for a film.
If "AI loses", then the artist who wants to do their own project loses, and Disney wins.
