Same boat. I have background in philosophy and psychology, shooting for starting a PhD program in 2027 with AI ethics as the end goal. Degrees in cognitive sciences, philosophy, and tech will definitely help, but I’d try to take advantage of the fact that this is a very new and growing industry that is currently very open to interdisciplinary expertise.
