Industrial automation is the main reason why the working class no longer works 16 hours a day and 7 days a week while sleeping on the floor of a factory and starving. What is it that lets the current working class enjoy a 40-hour week, single-family homes, cars, workplace safety regulations, good healthcare, good nutrition and vacation? None of that was available 150 years ago. Machines and automation — that’s what made all the difference in the world thanks to a massive productivity boost. A single worker with a combine harvester produces enough crops to feed hundreds of people and earn a good living, unlike bare-handed workers of the past who could barely feed their own families. You are *always* better off controlling a machine than doing the machine’s hard work with your bare hands. That’s what history has shown us time and time again. The COI is blatantly obvious here: The far left doesn’t want a happy and wealthy working class, because a happy and wealthy working class would *not* vote for the far left! It is in the far left’s best interest to make and keep the working class poor — which directly contradicts the far left’s political program and promises. Can a COI be more obvious than that? In general, beware of political ideas bound to lose electorate by keeping their promises. Sadly, Mordor has only two political parties, both far-right and indistinguishable, so there is *no* *real* *choice* for the people of Mordor. On the other hand, this doesn’t imply that an independent far-left politician has all the right answers… Fear mongering around machinery and automation always harms (delays progress) and never helps.
