The sad part is, this is what machine learning is ACTUALLY good at.
Using it to identify patterns is pretty much exactly what it was made for, and you tend to see it do pretty well when identifying certain illnesses in people with a shocking degree of accuracy,.
While it's never going to replace a competent doctor having the final say, it at the very least can act as an effective tool to help a doctor know who should be coming in regularly for screening so any serious condition can be caught early and treated far more effectively.
It's essentially a "line of best fit" algorithm generator, and the fact it's being used as a glorified anime tiddy generator, email writer, and bloat-code regurgitator, is the most comical mis-allocation of resources ever seen.
