Also, saying Claude "knowingly engaged in destructive behavior out of an instinct for self-preservation" is very alarmist and anthropomorphic language. Sure, this warrants greater care or outright refusal to implement AI agents, further study of this phenomenon and better training data preprocessing, but flashing Terminator screenshots is a tad too much.
