@fr4nz51 spend 2 days at Barnes and noble with a notepad. Study accounting books. Then, look at everything through rev-fixed/variable cost-net profit. You need an understanding of accounting. It applies to everything $ related, I mean everything. I strongly suggest ebay, I know all these influencers do too, but my net profit margin is 55% which is high. You can easily obtain a 30% net profit margin right away, and there's no barrier to entry. With ebay you can grow pretty organically. I have 2 good suppliers, and I manage stores using filipino virtual assistents, so 40k a year comes from that, and I work 15 hours a week.
In the beginning you'll work 50+ hours a week studying and practicing and listing and sourcing ect, but even if you do it as a hobby for a few years you can make 20-50k a year while putting very little energy into it eventually.
Other than that I own a part of a trailer repair buisness, I part out cars, and I own 2 rentals for the rest of my income. Those are things I found though. Everyone has their own path.
