I have the same opinion as you when it comes to an art's meaning and value it can offer being separate from the skill put into it (i do still believe that skill can contribute, but that its still not the only thing). However, I still do not see ai art as art for many reasons, lack of skill not being one of them. I also do not care about its use of copyrighted materials.
