I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're wrong.
*Artists* care about the story, the humanity behind an art piece.
The vast majority of people only care about that it looks nice. Most people do not give two sh!ts if an image was made by a machine algorithm from millions of scraped real artworks, as long as it looks nice.
That's been the sad reality forever.
The only people who truly care about art, are artists.
