Yes it can, and that's a false comparison. The example presented in the video is an example of AI being a better medium than drawings for the subject matter. The fact that AI feels nightmarish as if it is a subconscious corpse currently lacking the parts needed to be awake, being used as a paintbrush that no physical paintbrush or conscious being can manage. It solves a certain problem I have with the Walten Files. It's drawn consciously by humans as if to imitate a nightmare, but inherently it can be told apart from nightmares due to the fact it's a conscious being pretending it's unconscious drawing it. With this series, the AI is perfectly able to perform its function and fits the themes of the story, inherently better than any pencil could. It doesn't need the extra suspension of disbelief that the Walten Files needs AI art will never be inherently 'soulless' because 'soul' is a human made self-contradictory concept just like 'art' itself as a concept. It is free for anyone to decide what it is, even if something is made without artistic intent, it can be interpreted with artistic intent. I certainly feel the same feeling looking at certain AI images as when I look at traditional images. I feel the intent from the creator in both cases. There is no wrong way to experience 'art'
