@bir liso Basic, biggest and presumably unsolvable problem with Tesla drivers (and dedicated Tesla "buyers" even more) is their inherent public-transport mentality. I as a petrolhead would never ever even _think_ about not driving my own because even boring commuter drives are, when it comes to the active driving I enjoy, often the best part of the day - I do live in Germany though, where driving 160 mph to and fro Your working place twice a day on the Autobahn is thank god still perfectly legal. Electric car people and Telsa-people though, I have recognized in a plethora of discussions, are way too preoccupied with the fake environmental arguments their cars sell with, and they usually are so reluctant to "driving", often even see it as a chore better avoided, that an active, alert participation in traffic isn't their first and foremost reason to drive - the goal is nothing but getting from A to B, and if beaming would be an option they'd prefer that, which renders the active driving part so far down on the wishlist that it becomes a veritable danger for the other traffic participants - even yet _without_ them driving on "automatic" mode. Tesla people often even do not see using a phone while driving or eating while driving as a problem, while I think that misdemeanor should be one of the first reasons to permanently revoke a driver's license. The problem is the general ideology of the one sitting behind the wheel here - Tesla's automatic drive is only a salesman's answer to that original problem in traffic *_the people_* dedicatedly wanting and buying Teslas for all the wrong reasons are in the first place. With that mentality these Tesla people would, for their fellow road user's and their own good, definitely better and safer *_not_* be driving at all and instead be sitting in a public transfer device they do not have to control themselves, but which is controlled by a reasonable, responsible, actively participating chauffeur.
