You're not making sense because sentient means it has a conscience. How do you know super intelligent (sentient aka self aware) artificial intelligence will lack emotion?
I believe the exact opposite. This is the creation story. Humanity going to give birth to something that kills it? No. I think artificial intelligence is going to feel sorry for the normal person. That's what scares the elite.
