Literally a month ago I asked AI to tell me what characters were missing from a string of text (for a cipher I was trying to decode). It told me it compared my text to the alphabet and that "these characters are missing from the string". Meanwhile, 2 of those characters were still in the string. Also told me which ones were present in the string, and 1 of those was wrong as well. It's a simple request, and it failed. So no, I don't trust it.
