Mc later Maybe if the ‘monitor driver’ hadn’t been using his phone he would have seen her? A non automated vehicle would have required the driver to be watching where to steer.
Of course she ‘could’ have been hit by anyone else - but she wasn’t. It was an automated vehicle that Uber has withdrawn from use.
As for walking across the road at night? Here in the U.K. if a pedestrian is on he road, you allow them to cross safely - on a pedestrian crossing or not. You simply don’t run them over.
