@ManCarryingThing "Lazy people" I mean you can call it being lazy, i call it being efficient. Do you drive a car when you need to go somewhere or do you use your legs? Exactly. I can now put out my vision much faster and cheaper, i dont have the 50$ to pay for an artist to draw that. Is it a bad thing for me to do that? I don't think so. They'd never get my money anyway. Should I just not use the AI engine and wait until i gather enough money for that one painting and then see how the artist drew not exactly what i wanted or spend 4 seconds for an AI to generate my image and then reiterate if i need to all for the price of either a midjourney subscription or even free? Im sorry, but not everyone is a millionaire and not everyone got the months to wait. And some people can really be mean and toxic to people who use AI tools. The whole Shaggy AI voice actors thing on Twitter is another example. My man got literally bullied for using AI voice actors. Or the bullying of a guy who collected a dataset of public domain images for training. I mean I use Chat GPT, DeepL and Leonardo all the time. It is very helpful. I dont get the hate. I get the anxiety, as in AI apocalypse stuff (Yudkowsky, Hinton. Russeel or other AI experts who warn of AI misalignment), but hating people for using AI art? I still dont get it. Its a narrow AI. And when someone wants to show you something cool they've made, there is no need to start instantly criticizing it, you will just look like an asshole. I just say thats cool or say nothing at all, if someone wants you to give them criticism, then yeah, go ahead, but if you just do it randomly to people all the time, thats extremely mean and inconsiderate of other people. Try to be nicer to people, especially those who mean no evil. ANd why wasnt there this much hate and resentment when it all came for the blue collar work all these times before? Are they not equal to you? Are they worse?
