Now that I think about it, an AI-"Artist" is like a cheater in a multiplayer video game.
Instead of actually taking the time and effort into actually playing the game (drawing real art) and learning the mechanics and their preferred playstyle (learning the basics of art and their art style over time), instead they get a cheating program (an AI art generator) to do all the work for them whilst they 'flavour up' (disguise) the 'gameplay' (in this case, the 'art') so that it doesn't look obvious.
