Dear commenters: try reading more sci-fi and understanding that there are already methods out there to ensure data persistence like data center replication. And guess what? AI can easily buy or convince armed guards to make sure those data centers cannot be shut down. (Not that you could if you tried, they are located all over the world in thousands of hidden places.)
