ai doesn't learn it associates shapes to keywords then reconstructs those shapes when you put in a prompt. Whereas artists can variate on and iterate on other people's ideas, ai just makes pale mimicry that's always a little off.
Also the "don't post online if you don't want your art stolen" argument is really stupid??? Art being used to train robots that can mimic artists is a VERY new thing that hasn't had to be dealt with before. I think that respecting someone's wishes and not tracing their stuff or training ai off it or reposting it as your own etcetc is just, the normal thing to do.
