As long as AI isn't set to create new artworks by itself, in my opinion, it will be fine. AI is just a tool, even if based on copyrighted work, and as any tool it needs a decently skilled operator.
Most of the output of AI has many faults, hundreds of tiny details that are wrong, sometimes it makes weird stylistic choices. Even if there were new algorithms based on consenting artists' work, even if it stopped directly copying elements of said work... In the end, all the work is still done by humans, and all the outputs would be like raw gems, that would still need to be polished into a jewel - again, by humans.
The AI Doesn't Feel, it cannot recreate human emotion, it can only regurgitate what it's been fed without context. In the end, humans still need to put their heart and soul to the art to make it stand out, and to make it have a long-lasting impact on viewers.
