I find that baffling. Unless you are lying about your contributions, you know full well that they are not stochastic parrots, unless you are somehow unfamiliar with "Othello-GPT" and "Language Models Represent Space and Time," and all the other subsequent research that directly empirically shows that LLMs model the world.
Heck, if LLMs were stochastic parrots, they would never be able to explain a novel joke. Basically ever. Let alone in one shot. And they certainly wouldn't be creaming humans at the IMO, IOI, and ICPC.
No expert worth their salt bought the "stochastic parrot" bologna back when that paper first came out, because they could see for themselves that AIs understand things, otherwise they wouldn't even be able to output two coherent paragraphs of novel text.
