@shane-qr5mg i do not think your premise is flawed i just dont believe it is the best way to prove sentience. the idea of giving a limited set of facts and asking for a simple analysis of those facts is computation and would not show a sentient thought process. if we consider consciousness to being awake and aware and capable of forming an opinion we need to allow for that to occur without set parameters. the a.i would better be capable of showing its ability through unambiguous or less directive questioning. questions more in the like of how in your opinion could this best be solved, how does this make sense to you, or others as long as they were not leading question the resulting answers could show signs of independent thought.
