You mean the digital markets regulation that was, like most other EU market regulations, literally meant to ensure that the member states don't all go their own way and create a completely innavigable legal patchwork making it impossible to create products that can be used across all of Europe?
That is such a good legislative strategy! Some regulation really should only be passed at the top level of a shared market, especially with software products!
Now why would the US federal government want to stop the 50 states from all going their own individual way about regulating ai? It really is a mystery...
