Truly autonomous weapons will only be of interest to nations that don't care about causing collateral damage. Nations that don't care what it hits so long as it hits something. Nations that don't see life as precious and worth saving. Nations like Russia and China. For everyone else there will always be a person sitting behind a screen ready to override. I'm not saying Nato nations wont go down that path because they might end up do so as things become more computerized and game like. Who was it that said "Its a good thing that war is so terrible because otherwise we'd become too fond of it."? As the whole undertaking starts looking more like a video game and we take people out of it we will become too fond of it and civilians will start paying more and more of the price of the war.
