Most of the technology you use is _designed_ to make you miserable and keep you from forming real human connections. Your phone is the worst offender. It pretends to keep you connected to the people you care about but it really just overwhelms you and keeps you constantly on alert and afraid that if you put it down you will, "miss something." Humans aren't built for that. You need downtime. You need time to process things. You need time when it's just you and your thoughts. (Meditation can really help. Really. It sounds very, "woo-woo," but it's not.)
"Touch grass," isn't just a snarky saying. It's important for humans. As I've told my own children many times: You are a mind, a body, and a spirit. All three need exercise or you will suffer for it. I think a lot of people neglect the 'spirit' these days because it seems religious. I don't really know how to define, "spirit," but it's definitely not quite the same as, "mind," and you don't need to be religious to believe it's real. Maybe it's just your subconscious. But reading some philosophy and thinking hard about life and meaning are the exercise it seems to need.
I don't really think AI is going to save us from ourselves. Maybe some super-intelligent AI will be able to help some, though. We're certainly not doing very well on our own.
