I'd encourage Steven Bartlett to get deeper into non-western philosophies like Buddhism and Duality where the entropy of existence, is acknowledge, radically accepted, and accounted for in balance with the individual. Where clearly the discomfort between nothing matters meets and so everything matters, the all and nothing, the infinite and the void- they are both true, we are capable of conceptualizing such things, and living with a balance of considering both the individual and the everything else, instead of just becoming uncomfortable and frightened and turning more towards money or technology for solutions. They are man made things that can be examined in the shape of tools theory- they are not the world we evolved to live in, so everything they offer are constructs man has made. Some good, some bad. Consider if you haven't reading books like Bolo Bolo that describe potential other ways of living, of avoiding creating civilizations at all, to avoid civilization collapse, simply do not make them! Find other ways of living connected with humans as part of a species on earth, instead of creating hierarchies that help us to destroy it. Or reading Chomsky if you haven't. You just seemed hopelessly stumped at "what is the point of life if I'm not the center of everything" - you are the center of your existence, but the universe doesn't have a center, also. You seem trapped inside a self imposed box of false narrow choices, like you're standing in capitalism and western imperialism's toothpaste aisle overwhelmed by the amount of "choice" and haven't even fully considered leaving the store.
