I think many of you are not thinking about this without pride involved.
There are 'painters' who splashed paint, randomly, onto a canvas and made money. They are considered artists. It doesn't matter that it is abstract and random. AI generation and its fine tuning is simply another tool to be used. It may not be your cup of tea, but there is still someone behind the screen. You do not get to sit there claiming something is not art just because you don't like it.
Go down that path and we have to apply it to all things. What about synth music; is it not music just because the tool is a synthesizer rather than a guitar?
However as I have seen in these bubbles online, many are operating in an absolutist realm of thinking, which is never a good idea.
