At some point, probably not. It will be more and more part of other systems we rely on daily. Airports, our computers, banks, telecoms, healthcare, gov, energy, defense, etc. Of course, initially these systems will be mostly independent. Also, as companies replace humans workers with AI, if we unplug it we cause economic collapse. And then, if/when AGI/ASI emerges, it might replicate/expand fast enough to take full control before we can unplug it.
