Yeah, but then they'd have to make a determination that they believe it's AI. That means having a process and/or POC for con-goers or staff to report this, a review process including staff capable of making the determination, and most importantly it would rely on them including terms that they have the right to break the contract if they make the determination that the artist's work includes prohibited content. Now, they might have that! But given that the guy's work appears to sometimes mix human effort with AI, it becomes more tricky. Not to mention how trigger-happy this guy is with legal threats. Con goes to him, he pays his $20 online fake AI lawyer to draft some scary response claiming he can sue them if they break the contract, and they don't have the time and resources to respond, so they play it safe. It's a lot easier to say, hey let's just ban the guy next year, than to risk a much larger issue. Not saying this is what happened, but I could see it going down like that! What I don't understand is how this guy is going around to SO MANY OTHER cons, from the sound of it. Do these cons not talk to each other on some capacity?
