I'm interested in this approach, probably because I'm the opposite. I'm also in my 50s. But I started coding in BASIC when I was around 12. And went on to do up to post-grad computing which included programming. And had worked as a full time developer for over two decades in total. When I started 'real' programming I was writing my code on paper and booking time on a mini computer in order to type it in and debug. Support was basically Zero apart from books explaining the language you were using.
So using your approach do you understand all the code at the end of it, and do you feel like you can now do something similar without the AI?
