Completely different beasts. Waymo "AI" will work ONLY on pre-scanned HD mapped areas. Waymo does not do true autonomy. It will NEVER work in a city that was not scanned for weeks/months. Biggest mistake from google.
Tesla will do the same in China - if not faster than US, if regulators play dumb.
