the biggest issue, and i saw this a lot in my schools as i was growing up, is that art teachers especially tend to be very elitist and expect minimum levels of quality that can take several years of practice from extremely young ages at some of these places like i had two middle school art teachers, yes, TWO that repeatedly told kids that were below that quality line that 'They'll never make it if they draw like that' and then pointed to better drawings by other kids 'be more like them' the reason why a lot of people act like they can't draw or that artists are gifted is because society has treated it that way for centuries. AI 'art' is viewed as a way to break that 'limit' society has placed on art where you're either an artist or a failure
