@kajutokirrito358 That first line is not how AI art works in most cases. I won't argue about that though - there's enough of this shit out there, and my point lies elsewhere.
AI can't make art. And, ironically, that's why I... kind of defend it. The shitty thing about AI is that it is a tool that does not require effort, skill, humanity or creativity. You can hit a button and get some generically-pretty slop in 5 seconds. This is not art.
But while AI does not REQUIRE all of these things, one can still apply them to their AI piece. AI has no skill floor. Its default is uncanny, generic, and fake. If an AI image would be genuinely praiseworthy if it were made by a human - that can only be possible if it was, in fact, made by a human.
