This is a valid point. Unless there maybe is a concise way to link and communicate that people replaced at jobs (AGI) without:
1. Alignment solved
2. Democratic institutions reinforced so authoritarianism can not prevail
will lead to bad outcomes? Even Grady Booch in his debate with Connor Leahy said that we should not worry then because surely people will resist when AI start becoming embodied in society. Once the ball starts rolling on replacing us on jobs, I find it naive to believe we will be gifted "Utopia" without us earning it. While an AI getting us could be as possible as an billionaires getting us, I think people are much more ready to understand the second danger and dismiss the first.
