@larslarsen5414 So far many of them are losing money from it, they mainly use it as a quick cash grab from investors. Announcing your own AI can often give you a massive insertion of funds through stock investment, which makes it appealing for these companies to pretend they're getting deep into AI systems. There is also some stuff about selling subscriptions to AI services, or selling API. Though none of these will probably generate enough income to exceed the actual costs of running a significantly powerful AI.
