@Matt-dn5jc I heard that Japanese copyright law has an exception for AI training. If so, then there was no real copyright violation. Copyright is an artificial construction of law. It is a claim to control the real world property of other people (i.e , saying you can't use your property to make copies of something). This restriction on the use of my real world property is a concession to incentivise creation. We could just as easily declare all creative ideas belong to everyone with the only economic rewards going to those that can efficiently produce a demanded good or service.
