Controls put in place? Controls that this technology can eventually change itself?
The problem is that the consumers for A.I. have suddenly sky-rocketed and as we know, putting controls in place will take way to long... The demand for A.I. is NOW and while there is demand, people will continue to develop it. There is no stopping this... This is already a run-away-train... We're going to have to adapt and do so quickly. No Government can stop this. If this is stopped in the USA it will continue in Japan, China, Russia, etc. Given the particularly bad diplomatic situation the west has with Russia and the likes, there will no stopping A.I. before it is way to late... In a sense it is already to late... We have overstepped a certain threshold that can no longer be reversed, which is the knowledge some people already posses on how to build A.I.
