You're right. As an enthusiast for ai and technology, i don't know how to defend this 😂
But to be fair, drivers only go to jail when there's a proven intent, negligence or evidence that caused harm. If it's just an accident but dumb human error, it can be settled by psying fines.
But these ai drivers are what drives humanity to a better future. The fact that self driving cars has 90% fewer serious crashes than humans sepaks for itself. When did waymo started? 2018? So it's just 7 years old? A 7 year old human can't drive 😂
The point is it may have a lot of mistakes now, but give it 20 or 30 years of training, you'll be surprised
