Geoffrey Hinton would disagree with you on your claims of LLM's being simply autocomplete. So would many other AI experts. While neurologists might be more inclined to agree with you (although not all), the claim that there is no philosophical justification for sentience in AI systems is flatout wrong. Panpsychism (consciousness as a fundamental property of information as opposed to an emergent one) is one that is gaining popularity amongst scientists. Not to mention that we are nowhere near to solving the hard problem of consciousness.
