@Sina-rw3bl Therefore the cop used the AI, the statements given by the officers, the perceived suspicious way the suspect attempted to flee with his money as evidence that Jason may have been the other man and previously trespassed. It's not like he trusted the AI completely or only used that, he did have suspicions and did seem generally unsure if it was the same guy, but with all the evidence stacked against Jason and Jason failing to put any defence up except "Look I also got a valid ID!" (fakeable, but extremely difficult).. It's no wonder they took him, checked his fingerprints and jailed him during it. I understand your point: "Any LEO should not be using AI to find someone's identity"... However bad news for you: AI is scaringly accurate, and if there was no doubleganger this wouldn't have occurred. Also bad news for you: The UK, USA, and many other countries use AI to identify fugitives by their face and other characteristics... As well as many companies. This is unfortunately just one of the cases where the AI fails... This also happens with twins, or people with SUPER common faces. So it's fairly inconsistent.. But give it 5 years and it will be better.
