I think that the argument that AI can't do something novel is false because of AlphaGo move 37 which was novel move not known to human experts. I'd agree that diffusion and transformers can't do something novel but saying AI can't do novel things is a streach.
Also I'd argue that AI can have personal point of view if only it model of the world encapsulates itself and how it can interact with environment. LLMs in some domain have superhuman skills but a crow has more basic reasoning skills than them so art made from this point of view would be vary crude and uninteresting but on the other hand differences in perspective on subjects could be interesting. I also think that AI art would be hard to understand because of differences in perspective, understanding and experience of humans, it's like we can't really say the trees that bird construct to attract partners is an art, at the same time it doesn't look like the birds can understand our books. Birds do live, people do live, but the cognitive gap is too big.
