Programming is in quite the spot too. It's a pain to know exact syntax, reading documentation etc, or writing writing something that's either hard or just a lot of typing and small not hard details but have to get right. This leads to a lot of AI use, because it can read the documentation really fast and give you the information. It knows basically all syntax. And you can ball ideas with it of how to approach a problem, or generate some simple code. However, the whole goal with the AI is to replace all programmers. "How much of your workload have you completed with use of AI?", if a programmer doesn't have high enough %age then they're not utilizing AI well enough, but if it's a high percentage then the programmer can be replaced. All of it is scraped from github, I'm pretty sure no matter the license, and so on. Gamedev is still somewhat safe (so good for me), it'll probably be replaced at the very end. Even 3d artists are somewhat safe, since AI atm only produce meshes, but they can't do all the other things that's needed for the model. Programming is similar, AI can code, and help, but the complexity afaik is quite a bit above web-dev (which is where replacement seem to happen). The MAIN concern is job loss imo, not so much about "soul of whatever". If you don't need work to live, then it doesn't matter, since you can pursue these things on your free time, it's not like all value is lost. There'll definitely be value in human made when everything is AI made. But especially in the US, there will be no UBI, there's nothing that will help out the people. Europe, maybe, but who really knows. In general there's no plan on how to deal with the massive job-loss that might happen, and afaik there's not even a start of a plan. The mice tower is a completely different thing, that was EXTREME overcrowding, like perhaps worse than kowloon.
