You can be in awe but if you don't see any problems with mass data scanning without consent of their creators the possibility is pretty high that that person doesn't create anything (hence uncreative) and therefore he has no concept of how much work goes into any artwork. Thus he can be ignorant about how this "awesome tech" is created. Yes the technology can do *some* good looking artworks but if you look closely 1. you can identify the reference in many cases pretty clearly and 2. most of the created art is very generic and (logically) without soul its like those polished digital artworks you can find on artstation. But sure it is way cheaper and everyone with or without a brain can and will use almost noone really cares for sould and style so don't worry it will succeed.
