There is a huge difference between new, useful technology like cars, and generative AI. There has been massive pushback against AI from artists and those who support them. Even for other AI tools, people are getting irritated because of how pointless it is and how much they don’t want it. Plus, the amount of fresh water used by AI programs is insanely high, among other setbacks that make it unsustainable.
