The argument is simple. Hallucinations are a feature, not a bug, of large language models. They're going nowhere. That means this generation of AI is only good enough with human supervision.
It might help us become more productive, but it can't replace our roles. Not in the foreseeable future, anyway. There could be some new innovation down the track that does, but it won't be a language model.
Next, if we are more productive, so our our competitors. So it doesn't reduce the need for people. It just ups the ante. Now our companies need us to be more productive in order ro compete in the marketplace.
