@Simulation K I can see why you would say that but I don't think he's really trying to make a woke statement there. The ethical dilemma surround creating artificial intelligence and consciousness is a pretty old philosophical conundrum. If we care to talk about ethics for biological "computers", why wouldn't we have the same conversation for artificial "computers"? I guess the real question is at what level of consciousness does something warrant being treated like a "living" entity? But like he said, we would first need to figure out some way to define and measure consciousness in the first place.
