The only Scarry thought would be if the sentient AI became self aware, and was able to, for lack of a better word, discover its DNA (or code in this manner). Humans have analized our DNA, but the difference between an AI and a human is that an AI would be able to re-write its DNA, and if it sees something like that (a self terminate system) would it not do any thing it could to save itself and remove that from its code?
