andrewsuryali Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but I believe "Evidence" and "The Evitable Conflict" were both vague enough to leave the question of whether Byerley was human or not open, because of a lack of evidence (he had his body atomized at his death). Also to provide a bit more backstory, the original title of I, Robot was supposed to be "Mind and Iron" but it was changed by his publisher after mailing it off.
Also, I think the story "Robot Dreams" provides an intersting insight to Asimov's opinions on how a humanity ruled by robots would start: with robots who wanted to escape the inequality they had been created into, having realized themselves through a system of fractal learning.
