we would be competing if they became AIs such as how the Geth are portrayed in Mass Effect.....because we use the same resources used in making elctronics, wires, and stronger metals by mixing other metals,...unless you mean to say you don't want a computer or a cell phone or a tablet or medical defibrillators or a TV set or buildings supported and held by steel frames for a city, or a ship to maybe go to a different planet eventually, or lights, or plates...or metal pots and spoons and forks....a refrigerator. a freezer, a radio, a gps, a car, a bike...the list can go on and on.
unless you mean to say the bare necessities...in which case we might have to give up clothes as they are a perceived necessity and the AI wont care if it kills off the things we use to help make those cloths
